Does my library account expire?

Why has my library account expired? What do I do if my library account expires?

Library accounts expire if you are not currently registered for courses. This will happen when you graduate, or if you take a semester off.

When your account is expired, you will not be able to check out or renew any materials. You will also not have access to electronic resources.

Alumni

If you have graduated, you can apply for an alumni card by filling out an Application Form and bringing it to the library. An alumni card enables you to check out print books, but does not provide access to e-books or other online resources.

Alumni cards are valid for one year, then they will need to be renewed. This can be done by coming to the library, or by calling the Circulation Desk at (478) 301-2961 in Macon or (678) 547-6284 in Atlanta.

Current Students

If you are taking a semester off and plan to continue taking courses in the near future, your library account will be reactivated when you register for courses.

If you have any questions or concerns about your library account, please reach out to library_circulation@mercer.edu.
