How do I access the full text of Scientific American or Nature?

For students of PHY 326 with Dr. McNally.


To find whether the Mercer University Libraries carry a specific journal,

  1. Go to the Mercer University Libraries homepage
  2. Select the black "e-Journals" tab,
  3. Enter the name of the journal, and select "SEARCH"
  4. Select the journal title, if available, from the results list

The entry for Scientific American shows the journal being available from 2007 in the Academic Search Complete database.

  1. Select  Academic Search Complete's entry for Scientific American
  2. If you have a topic in mind, then select "Search within this publication"
  3. Enter your keywords in the second and third (if needed) search boxes before selecting "Search". 

Mercer University Libraries' entry for Nature shows the journal being available from 2007 in SpringerNature Nature Journals-All.

  1. Select SpringerNature Nature Journals-All
  2. If you have a topic in mind, then select "Search 🔍" on the right
  3. Select "This journal" from the drop-down menu
  4. Enter your keywords and select "Search"
