How much is it to get an interlibrary loan?
Interlibrary Loan (ILL) is free most of the time. Mercer University Libraries cover all ILL costs up to $40.
There are two reasons an ILL might not be free:
- Charges from the lending library exceed $40 (this rarely happens!)
- The request is outside of copyright restrictions and incurs a copyright charge
The patron is responsible for charges that exceed the $40 limit and will be notified when charges are incurred. Approval and payment are required before the request is processed. Patrons are responsible for replacement costs for lost or damaged items.
